The first Global Safety Stand Down was carried out across all geographies where the Mota-Engil Group operates, dedicating a specific moment to the reflection on occupational risks and preventive safety practices. In Oman, Ecovision joined the initiative by implementing an operational standstill focused on analysing daily activities and the safety behaviours adopted by its teams.
During the initiative, operations were temporarily suspended to allow employees to identify risks associated with their roles, discuss critical situations and reinforce essential prevention practices. This moment also encouraged the exchange of experiences between operational areas, fostering an environment of dialogue focused on the continuous improvement of working conditions.
The campaign was based on the Golden Safety Rules of the Mota-Engil Group, which set out essential guidelines for accident prevention. These rules are part of the SHEQ Policy (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality), which guides the practices of SUMA and its subsidiaries, ensuring consistency and rigour in the application of safety principles.
Through its participation, Ecovision reinforces its alignment with the Group’s global guidelines and its commitment to safety as a central priority in its operations, upholding the goal of promoting safer and more responsible working environments.
